Job summary

Wright Staff Recruitment is seeking a skilled TIG Welder (141) for a defence-sector supplier based in Worcestershire. You will weld aluminium and stainless-steel fabrications to exacting standards on safety-critical projects, with overtime on enhanced rates and ongoing training.

You will read engineering drawings, set up and run TIG equipment safely, inspect welds to BS EN ISO 17673:2022, and collaborate with the production team to hit targets while maintaining a clean, compliant work

Qualifications

• TIG (141) welding on aluminium and stainless steel to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Maintain qualification to BS EN ISO 9606 and related standards.
• Adhere to BS EN ISO 17673:2022 weld quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (141) welding on aluminium fabrications ranging from 1.5mm - 30mm.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct visual inspection of welds to BS EN ISO 17673:2022 standards.
• Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Continue internal and external training to maintain qualification to BS EN ISO 9606.
