Job summary

Lyca Health in Orpington is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Outpatients Department. You will deliver high-quality patient care across multiple specialties and build rapport with patients quickly while leading and engaging with stakeholders.

The role requires Outpatient experience and a compassionate Registered Nurse who can work Monday to Saturday 08:00–20:00, with opportunities to further develop clinical skills and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Be a Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration.
• Experience in an Outpatient Clinic / setting.
• Wound care, phlebotomy, minor ops and gynae/urology procedures is desirable but training can be given.

• Demonstrating outstanding clinical practice at all times.
• Working within a multi-disciplinary team led by a supportive senior nursing team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and energetic nurse to join our Outpatients department in Lyca Health Orpington as a Staff Nurse.

As a staff nurse in our outpatient department you will be responsible for providing consistently high standards of care and support to our patients over a wide range of specialities including orthopaedics, dermatology, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology and more.

You will have Outpatient Experience and be a strong and empathetic Registered Nurse who has the ability to build a rapport with your patients in a short period of time, deliver outstanding care, lead and implement change and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

The shift pattern will be working Monday to Saturday between 0800 - 2000.

Role Responsibilities include:

- Demonstrating outstanding clinical practice at all times

- Working within a multi-disciplinary team led by a supportive senior nursing team

- Plan, implement and deliver a holistic patient centred care to a group of patients

- Maintaining accurate patient records utilising the most up to date evidenced based care and guidelines

- Working to develop a strong, effective team by developing the vision and strategy of "health care at its best"\

Person Specification:

- Be a Registered Nurse (RN RGN).

- Experience in an Outpatient Clinic / setting.

- Experience undertaking the following: wound care, phlebotomy, minor ops and gynae/urology procedures is desirable but training can be given to the right candidate.

- To be patient focussed, with a desire and proven ability to deliver healthcare at its best.

- Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application along with evidence of continuous professional development.

- To be confident in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with others including consultants, colleagues and patients.
