Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking a part-time Personal Care Assistant to provide care for a disabled man in his own home in the Nuthall area of Nottingham. The role involves 28 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern over a 6-week period, including overnights, with additional hours available for leave or sickness coverage.

Benefits include hourly rate £13.50 to £14.25, overtime at 1.5x, full holiday pay, full training, and mileage paid.

Responsibilities

• Ventilation Management
• Hoist transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Administer medication and monitor for any changes in health status.
• Accompany to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure during transport.
• Communicate effectively with cared for person, their family, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment for cared for person by performing housekeeping tasks.

The position is in a home environment in the Nuthall area of Nottingham.
