Job summary

Travail Employment Group seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a leading recycling and renewable energy manufacturer in NG14. You will handle daily electrical maintenance, PPMs, and breakdown repairs on industrial plant, in a challenging environment with new and older equipment.

The ideal candidate has heavy industry electrical experience and an electrical apprenticeship (City & Guilds/NVQ). Shift pattern is 7am–7pm, 4on 4off, with pension and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical experience in heavy industry/manufacturing or process environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to plan to tight timelines.
• Knowledge of PLCs and older conventional plant machinery, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day electrical maintenance on industrial plant and machinery.
• Carry out preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to emergency breakdown repairs.

Electrical Maintenance - £48k + overtime - NG14 - 12-hour day shift (4on 4off)

The job:

Working with one of the UKs leading recycling and renewable energy manufacturers, you will be part of a maintenance team mostly purely electrical or mechanical. This opportunity is for an electrical technician and is responsible for the day-to-day electrical maintenance, PPM and emergency breakdown repair of all industrial plant and machinery. You will work in what can be a challenging environment with new and old equipment, ensuring processing is not interrupted as this industry is growing and essential to our planet sustainability.

Requirements:

It is expected that the successful candidate will have proven Electrical experience in a heavy industry, manufacturing or process environment, a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification.

As the electrical maintenance technician will need excellent trouble shooting skills, with the ability to plan and work to tight timelines, knowledge of PLCs as well as older conventional plant machinery, pneumatic and hydraulic components.

The basic salary for the electrical maintenance technician is £48k

Hours: Ave 42 hrs. per week; 7am to 7pm (4on 4off).

Holidays: 17 shifts p/a (equivalent to 25 days p/r).

Pension: Company contributions min of 7% up to 10%.
