Job summary

The Sunrise Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Lead Care Supervisor to manage and support a team of Care Assistants in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will provide personal care and assist with meals, mobility, and daily living activities, while ensuring documentation and care plans are up to date.

You will mentor staff, uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, and liaise with families and healthcare professionals. On-call duties and out-of-hours support may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support a team of Care Assistants to deliver person-centred care.
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Assist with meals, hydration, medication support (where trained), and daily living activities.
• Complete and review care plans, service user assessments, and risk assessments.
• Conduct spot checks, observations, and competency assessments.
• Monitor health and wellbeing, reporting changes to the Registered Manager.
• Maintain accurate care records, daily notes, incident reports, and documentation.
• Mentor and train new and existing care staff.
• Ensure care aligns with policies, safeguarding, health and safety requirements, and standards.
• Liaise with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Respond to emergencies, accidents, incidents, and safeguarding concerns per procedures.
• Participate in on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support when required.
• Promote dignity, independence, privacy, rights and wellbeing of service users.
• Carry out additional duties to support efficient service operations.

Job description

Complete and review care plans, service user assessments, and risk assessments to ensure care meets individual needs.

Monitor the health and wellbeing of service users, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to the Registered Manager.

Maintain accurate care records, daily notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Mentor, support, and assist with the induction and ongoing training of new and existing care staff.

Ensure all care is delivered in line with company policies, safeguarding procedures, health and safety requirements, and regulatory standards.

Liaise effectively with service users, their families, healthcare professionals, and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Respond appropriately to emergencies, accidents, incidents, and safeguarding concerns, following company procedures.

Participate in the on-call rota and provide support with emergency cover and out-of-hours enquiries when required.

Promote the dignity, independence, privacy, rights, and wellbeing of all service users, ensuring their choices and preferences are respected.

Carry out additional duties delegated by the Registered Manager to support the effective and efficient running of the service.
