Job summary

The Sunrise Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated care professional in Brighton to provide high-quality person-centred care to residents. You will lead and support care staff, assist with personal care and daily activities, and maintain accurate records and care plans.

The role focuses on promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing while responding to emergencies and safeguarding concerns in a compliant, respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality person-centred care and support to residents, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Lead and support care staff during shifts, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate care is consistently delivered.
• Assist residents with personal care, medication, mobility, nutrition and daily living activities in line with their individual care plans.
• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, recognising and reporting any changes, concerns or safeguarding issues promptly.
• Complete and maintain accurate care records, medication records, daily notes and incident reports.
• Support the development and review of individual care plans and risk assessments, ensuring they reflect residents’ current needs.
• Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, managers and other members of the care team.
• Provide guidance, supervision and support to junior care staff, helping to maintain high standards of practice.
• Respond confidently to emergency situations, challenging behaviour and complex care needs, following appropriate procedures.
• Promote a positive, respectful and inclusive environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding and care quality standards.
