Job summary

Independent Lives in North Chailey is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to support a 24-year-old man with Autism and OCD, promoting daily independence. Responsibilities

  • Support the individual to promote daily independence, including personal care, food prep, appointments, and community access.
  • Assist with transportation, companionship and social/leisure activities.
  • Provide prompting, encouragement and supervision of personal care tasks.
  • Engage in walks, day trips and community activities as appropriate.
  • Other relevant duties as required.

Compassionate Personal Assistant Wanted NDS9153

£12.71 per hour. Mileage expenses: 50p per mile

I am a bright, articulate 24-year-old man with Autism and OCD, and I am looking for a patient, reliable and kind Personal Assistant to support me with my day to day independence.

I am an amateur radio enthusiast and enjoy day trips to visit transmitters, different locations to scan for broadcasts and to present a weekly live show at a local community radio station.

I would like support to promote and encourage my daily independence. This will include support, supervision and prompting with personal care, food prep, attending appointments, accessing the community, and taking part in social and leisure activities.

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
