Job summary

Independent Lives in North Chailey is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to support a 24-year-old man with Autism and OCD, promoting daily independence. The role involves support, supervision and prompting with personal care, food prep, appointments, community access, and social and leisure activities.

You will work on-site part-time, with mileage expenses at 50p per mile. Applicants should be reliable, patient and able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Support the individual to promote daily independence, including personal care, food prep, appointments, and community access.

• Other relevant duties as required.

£12.71 per hour. Mileage expenses: 50p per mile

I am a bright, articulate 24-year-old man with Autism and OCD, and I am looking for a patient, reliable and kind Personal Assistant to support me with my day to day independence.

I am an amateur radio enthusiast and enjoy day trips to visit transmitters, different locations to scan for broadcasts and to present a weekly live show at a local community radio station.

I would like support to promote and encourage my daily independence. This will include support, supervision and prompting with personal care, food prep, attending appointments, accessing the community, and taking part in social and leisure activities.
