Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is looking for a delivery driver with a UK Class 1 CE licence to operate refrigerated trailers in the central belt. You will handle multi-drop milk cage deliveries to retail stores and ensure loads are secured.

You will perform daily vehicle safety checks, stay in touch with the transport team, and participate in ongoing DCPC training. The role follows a 4-on, 4-off rota starting at 14:00, with overtime available and a night uplift for hours 21:00–04:00.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers preferred but training provided.
• Strong customer service focus and deadline discipline.
• Confident, polite and a team player.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Use a refrigerated trailer with a tail lift to make multi-drop milk cage deliveries to retail stores.

Job description

• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.


• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.


• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.


• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.


• Complete shunting duties in the yard once deliveries are completed.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.


• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.


• Experience of refrigerated trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.


• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.


• Ability to work to deadlines.


• Confident, polite, and a team player.


• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
