Job summary

GI Group Holdings Recruitment Limited has a vacancy for a Class 1 Trunk Driver in Milton Keynes. This ongoing, full-time role requires delivering parcels, performing vehicle checks and maintaining tachograph records.

You will drive to client standards with coaching and training provided, while ensuring compliance with Working Time Directive and hours rules. The position offers stable shifts from Monday to Friday, onsite parking, and ongoing block bookings, with advance holiday pay included.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid UK Driving Licence (Class 1) with CPC & DIGI cards.
• Demonstrated customer service and professional communication skills.
• Ability to manage Driving Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Max 6 penalty points acceptable for minor offences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels and mail bulk loads.

Earnings: From £19.89ph up to £20.45ph

Join Gi Group supporting our client based in Milton Keynes, as a Class 1 Trunk Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership.

Role & Responsibilities :

• Parcel & Mail Bulk Loads
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months months Class 1 driving experience
• Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
