Job summary

Cornerstone (Aberdeen) is seeking a Relief Support Practitioner in Maud to help across North Aberdeenshire. You’ll cover shifts for annual leave, training and absences, with flexible part-time hours that fit around your life.

You’ll support individuals with daily living needs including personal care, meals, and home tasks, helping them participate in activities and their communities. Successful candidates join the Programme and will need to register with the SSSC within three months.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or support roles is preferred.
• Willingness to join PVG scheme and pursue SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare.
• Commitment to working with individuals with disabilities and additional support needs.

Responsibilities

• Relief support across North Aberdeenshire communities during leave, training, and absence.
• Provide daily living assistance including personal care, medication, housework and meal prep.
• Assist individuals to reach goals, join hobbies, and engage with local communities.
• Register with SSSC within 3 months of starting employment.

We’re expanding our relief pool and are looking for reliable and caring individuals to support our teams across North Aberdeenshire including, Peterhead, Strichen, Banff, Maud, Ellon, New Deer and Longside.

The role

As a relief colleague, you’ll play an incredibly important role within our teams. You’ll step in to support our teams during periods of annual leave, training and absence.

With our relief contracts, you’re in control, tell us when you’re available and we’ll look to give you shifts that work around your life.

No two days are ever the same, you’ll play a huge part in making a difference in the lives of the individuals we support.

You’ll support individuals living with disabilities and/or additional support needs with all aspects of their daily living, including personal care, medication, housework and preparing food. You’ll also support them to reach their goals, participate in their hobbies and activities and play an active part in their local communities.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
