Job summary

WWT Llanelli is seeking a Living Collection Keeper on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover to look after our living collection, assist with daily animal care and help deliver our mission to restore wetlands. The role involves practical husbandry and general maintenance to uphold high standards.

Annualised hours of 33 per week with monthly salary payments. Weekend work and some bank holidays are required, and you will join a team dedicated to creating environments people love to visit.

Qualifications

• Experience in animal care and maintenance is desirable.
• Willingness to work weekends and some bank holidays.
• Comfort with working outdoors and in a conservation setting.

Living Collection Keeper (Maternity Cover)

WWT Llanelli is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our Living Collections team on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave and help deliver our mission to restore wetlands, help wildlife thrive and inspire people.

This is a key role within our Living Collection team where you will combine practical skills, animal husbandry and general maintenance to ensure the highest standards.

You will:

• Assist with daily feeds and general animal care duties
• Assist with the general maintenance of the grounds and collection areas
• Be part of a team that has a passion for animals and creating environments people love to visit

This is an annualised hours contract based on an average of 33 hours per week. Salary will be paid in equal monthly amounts. Hours may vary through the seasons. This position will require work at weekends and some bank holidays.
