Connect Appointments is recruiting a Welder/Fabricator to join a globally recognised manufacturing business based in Livingston.

Our client is a well-established international manufacturer with a modern, well-organised workshop and a strong team culture.

As a Welder/Fabricator, you will TIG and MIG weld across a variety of fabrication projects, read detailed drawings, and perform general sheet metal work using hand and power tools, while following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as Welder/Fabricator in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven TIG and MIG welding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

What's on offer?

• Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4pm
• £16.50 per hour
• £1,000 sign-on bonus with a further £1,000 bonus paid after a successful review following completion of 6 months

As a Welder/Fabricator, your duties will include:

• TIG and MIG welding across a variety of fabrication projects
• Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings
• Working on general sheet metal and light fabrication work
• Using hand and power tools to trim, cut and fit components
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures at all times

To be considered as a Welder/Fabricator, you will need:

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a Welder/Fabricator in a manufacturing environment
• Proven TIG and MIG welding skills
• The ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
