we currently have a excellent opportunity for band 3 secondment to join the ward 8b team to cover maternity leave for 12 month.
This post involves shift work over 7 days including days nights weekends.
As Band 3 Health Care assistant duties will include supporting the registered nursing teams in providing patient care, clinical duties such as assisting patients with extended personal hygiene needs, meeting patients nutritional needs, including completing risk assessments and implementing plans of care.
Pressure area care delivery and wound assessment and wound dressings. Undertaking observations, supporting new and junior members of staff, as well as venepuncture, cannulation and catheterization .
At the direction of the Registered Nurse participate fully in the delivery of planned nursing care and following competency assessment use advanced clinical skills Participate in the ongoing assessment of patients care needsAssist the RGN in the evaluation of care and maintain accurate patients charts as appropriate
Involve patients and carers/relatives in the delivery of care.
Provide reassurance support to patients and carers/families.
Recognise and respond appropriately to difficult situations.
