Job summary

PRBS Limited in Leighton Buzzard is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable HGV Technician to join our busy workshop. We maintain our own fleet and also repair external customers’ vehicles.

You will service, diagnose and repair HGVs, trailers and light commercial vehicles, with opportunities for overtime and development in a friendly family-run environment. A full UK driving licence is essential, and Class 1 is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV Technician.
• Newly qualified Level 3 HGV technicians encouraged to apply and develop.
• Full UK driving licence essential; Class 1 advantageous but not essential.

Job description

PRBS Limited is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable HGV Technician to join our busy workshop in Leighton Buzzard.

We maintain our own mixed fleet of commercial vehicles, trailers and specialist transport equipment, while also providing repair and maintenance services for external customers.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 18:00

Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 – 13:00

Overtime available when required.

Your Responsibilities

Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs, trailers and light commercial vehicles.

Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.

Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance.

Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT.

Maintaining high standards of workmanship and workshop safety.

Completing work on both company vehicles and customer vehicles.

What We're Looking For

Experience as an HGV Technician

Newly qualified Level 3 HGV Technicians are encouraged to apply – full support and development will be provided.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, or a willingness to learn.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A positive attitude with pride in producing quality work.

Full UK driving licence essential.

A Class 1 (Category C+E) licence would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential.
