Job summary

York Metrology Ltd in Leicester is seeking a Dimensional Calibration Technician to join our measurement team. The role focuses on calibration and inspection of measuring instruments, following established procedures and maintaining traceable records of data and results.

Working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, you will carry out in-house calibrations and ensure compliance with specifications while building expertise in dimensional and mechanical calibration in a busy engineering environment.

Job description

Dimensional / Mechanical Calibration Technician is required immediately for a permanent position in the Leicester area. Competitive salary (dependent on experience and qualifications) The Dimensional Calibration Technician will be working 40 hours (Mon – Fri).

We will also consider Standard Room Inspectors with dimensional / mechanical calibration experience as well as Mechanical Quality Inspectors or apprentice trained Mechanical Engineers / Technicians who have experience of using standard measuring equipment and carrying out in-house calibrations.

Joining the team as a Dimensional Calibration Technician, you will undertake calibration and inspections of measuring instruments according with the correct procedures, instructions, and specifications. A successful candidate will be expected to independently maintain relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner.
