Job summary
MBDA UK Ltd in Bolton is seeking an ambitious Mechanical Engineer to join our Calibration & Maintenance team. You will support manufacturing across assembly, integration and test, ensuring measurement accuracy and equipment performance at every stage of the build process.
We require an HNC in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience in dimensional calibration with metrology tools. The role includes potential overtime, a company bonus and a strong focus on continuous improvement in a
Qualifications
- Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in dimensional calibration.
- Experience as a technical lead in manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of measurement uncertainty and metrology principles.
- Experience creating technical documentation and instructions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical/dimensional calibration for COTS and STTE equipment.
- Lead inspection activities and update CMM programmes.
- Provide calibration support to manufacturing, fixtures and tooling.
- Act as technical point of contact for dimensional calibration queries.
- Contribute to methods and process improvements in measurement.
