Job summary

Mosaic 1898 Direct Payments Support Service in Leicester is seeking a female Personal Care Assistant to provide 5 hours of support on Wednesday afternoons for a high-needs, neurodivergent individual near Letchworth Road/Aikman Avenue in LE3. You will assist with daily living tasks, meals, and light housework, and accompany the lady to social events and appointments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in personal and domestic tasks as required, and act as escort to the employer’s social and day-to-day activities.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch and evening meals.
• Perform general household duties (empty bins, make/change bed, clean rooms, do laundry, ironing, washing up).
• Assist with shopping and related tasks.
• Escort to meetings/events as the lady goes out daily with PAs.
• Provide occasional personal care support if the lady is unwell (showering, bathing, dressing).

Mosaic 1898 Direct Payments Support Service are supporting a lady to find a female Personal Care Assistant for 5 hours of support on Wednesday afternoons, in the LE3 area of Leicester City, near Letchworth Road/Aikman Avenue.

It is important that you have experience supporting a high functioning individual with autism, and that you are comfortable working with dogs in the premises.

It is essential that you are over 25 (for insurance purposes) with a manual driving license and can drive her motability vehicle.

Duties:

• To assist in all areas of personal and domestic need as required, and to act as an escort and aid to the employer’s social and day to day activities. There will be a fairly even split between these two aspects of support.
• Preparation of breakfast, lunch, and evening meals.
• General household duties:
  • empty bins
  • make and change bed
  • cleaning of rooms
  • laundry / drying / ironing clothes
  • washing up.
• Assistance with shopping and associated tasks.
• Escort to other business and social meetings/events, as the lady goes out every day with the support of her PAs
• Occasional assistance with personal care support if the lady is unwell:
  • Showering
  • bathing
  • dressing

Skills and Qualifications required
