Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in Leeds is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our home caring for residents with respect and compassion. You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards in line with our SOPs and hotel-like service expectations.

You will carry out cleaning duties, understand surface cleaning requirements, and ensure residents' dignity and personal space are always respected, with flexibility to cover various duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
  • Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
  • Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
  • The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
  • Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
