Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible team in Launceston on a permanent basis.
We support one lady and one gentleman who have a learning disability as well as differing health needs. We currently have a void for a third person to support. We support in all aspects of their lives from personal care, medication, moving people, hoisting, wheelchair use, SALT all the way down to support in accessing the community. The gentleman we support does have an aspect of challenging behaviour.
Both people we support have limited communication so require support staff to have good communication. We record all recording on a company app, so an understanding of IT is important.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of these individuals. Each person has their own unique abilities and needs, and you will be supporting them to live the life they choose.
