Job summary

Circles Network is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant to support a 38-year-old transgender woman with mobility challenges in Kilmacolm. The role involves personal care, light housework, cooking, shopping, and aiding social activities, with 10 hours weekly across 3–4 days and some flexibility for medical appointments.

The ideal candidate will have prior care experience, empathy, and a respectful approach, with life experience welcomed. Car ownership is nice but not essential.

Job description

I am seeking a part-time, Female* Personal Assistant (Cisgender or Transgender), to provide a range of support for me. I am a 38-year-old transgender woman with chronic health & mobility issues, currently living in Kilmacolm.

This is a permanent post, and the 10 hours per week will ideally be split across 3-4 days, usually within the hours of 2 – 4pm, however, the PA would need to be flexible and adaptable to respond to my changing needs (e.g. to assist with a medical appointments).

About me:

I love watching films with critically acclaimed/Oscar worthy types with Sci-Fi being my favourite genre. My music taste is an eclectic mix - Classical and Thrash Metal being my favourites and my top TV shows are The West Wing, Frasier and Friends. I am also an avid lover of the Eurovision Song Contest and pay close attention to all the acts each year, in the lead up.

Another big passion of mine is gaming, and I always welcome a gaming partner.

I am ideally looking for someone with similar interests.

About this opportunity:

I have very limited mobility due to various health conditions, and I am mostly bedbound. I therefore rely on a wheelchair when out with the home. I also require support with my personal care, light housework, cooking, shopping, and social activities. The most important thing for me is that my new PA is a kind and friendly individual who is empathetic to my situation and needs which can vary greatly day to day.
