Job summary

Chalkhouse Childcare Services seeks a warm Lunchtime Assistant for our nursery in Kidmore End to help during the busiest part of the day. You will ensure lunchtime is safe, calm and enjoyable for children aged 0-5, assist with meals, and support dietary needs.

The role emphasises hygiene and mealtime interaction, with a rural setting where a driving licence would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist children with lunch, including those needing help with cutlery and encouraging healthy eating and good table manners.
• Support children with allergies, intolerances and special dietary requirements.
• Wipe tables, clean up spills and help with washing up and resetting the room.
• Promote interaction at mealtimes.
