Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a Warehouse Stores Operative in the United Kingdom to assist with goods receiving, storage and issuing materials to operatives. Responsibilities include checking deliveries, unloading with handling equipment, and maintaining stock levels, records and stock takes.

A forklift certificate is preferred but not essential. Applicants should be willing to learn, with stores experience considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Experience in stores/supply roles is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts if required.
• Safety conscious with good manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check goods on arrival.
• Unload vehicles using mechanical handling equipment.
• Organise, sort and monitor stock levels.
• Maintain accurate stock records and perform stock takes.
• Provide materials to operatives as needed.
• Ensure safe storage and tidy workplace.

PURPOSE

To assist with the goods receiving, safe storage and issue of materials to operatives.

YOU PROBABLY WANT TO KNOW WHATS INVOLVED

• Receipt of and checking goods in, ensuring delivered in good condition
• Off load vehicles using mechanical handling equipment
• Organise, sort and manage stock levels
• Maintain stock records and stock take
• Operate B1 Forklift -(Certificate ideal but not essential)
• Supply materials to General Operatives as required
• Ensure goods are stored in a safe and acceptable manner
• General stores duties including maintaining a clean and tidy workplace

WHAT EXPERIENCE WE NEED FROM YOU

• A willingness to learn new skills
• Previous stores experience is an advantage
