NHS Jobs is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication safety audits, monitoring, and repeat prescribing in a GP practice setting.
You will handle medication queries from patients and secondary care, review hospital discharges, and assist with QOF monitoring and medicines optimisation workstreams. The role requires GPhC registration and strong collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective use of medicines.
The Pharmacy Technician will support the Practice with work on medication safety audits, medication monitoring, repeat prescribing processes, medication queries, secondary care medication related workstreams.
The Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in helping patients get the best outcome from their medicines and helps to ensure our patients are safe whilst taking prescribed medication.
The areas of responsibility will involve liaising with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure the effective and safe use of medicines.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the supervision of our Practice Pharmacist; however, they must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and are therefore responsible and accountable for their own accurate and safe practice
