Job summary

Childbase Partnership is seeking a Domestic Assistant to maintain high cleanliness standards across our nurseries. This permanent role is 20 hours per week, 52 weeks a year, with Monday–Friday 16:00–20:00 and a pay rate of £12.87 per hour.

The position offers a supportive team and opportunities for development within our employee-owned organisation. You will clean, restock, assist in the kitchen and laundry, and follow COSHH and safeguarding practices to ensure a safe, healthy environment for

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning to high hygiene standards.
• Knowledge of COSHH and ability to maintain a safe environment.
• Ability to safeguard and support well-being of children and adults in the nursery.
• Team player who builds supportive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Clean and restock bathrooms and kitchens, sweep and mop floors.
• Empty bins and perform high-level dusting.
• Assist in kitchen washing-up and laundry duties as required.
• Support overall cleanliness and hygiene across the nursery.

Salary: £12.87 per hour.

About you

• You are passionate about maintaining exceptional standards: You have experience of working as a professional Housekeeper or Cleaner, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• You are diligent: Your knowledge of COSHH and the use of your initiative will ensure you uphold a safe environment as you re-stock supplies in bathrooms and kitchens, empty bins, sweep and mop floors, engage in high-level dusting, support the kitchen team with washing-up and take care of the laundry.
• You are an advocate for safeguarding: You will ensure the well-being of every child and all adults within the nursery are met.
• You are collaborative: You thrive as part of a team and enjoy building supportive and respectful relationships with others.
