Job summary

Childbase Partnership Limited is opening a brand-new Linmere Day Nursery and seeks a Domestic Assistant to join the founding team. The role focuses on delivering exceptional hygiene, safeguarding and support to create a welcoming, safe environment for children and families from day one.

You will work varied shifts, 37.5 hours per week, across 52 weeks per year, with a competitive salary of £25,096.50 per annum (£12.87 per hour) pro-rata, reflecting the opening of a new nursery in Linmere.

Qualifications

• Experience as a professional Housekeeper or Cleaner, maintaining high standards of hygiene.
• Knowledge of COSHH and initiative to restock bathrooms/kitchens, empty bins, sweep and mop, dusting and laundry.
• Safeguarding of children and adults within the nursery.
• Collaborative team player who builds respectful relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high hygiene standards and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms and kitchens, empty bins, sweep/mop floors and perform high-level dusting.
• Assist kitchen team with washing-up and take care of laundry.
• Support safeguarding and wellbeing of children and adults in the setting.

About you

• You are passionate about maintaining exceptional standards: You have experience of working as a professional Housekeeper or Cleaner, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• You are diligent:Your knowledge of COSHH and the use of your initiative will ensure you uphold a safe environment as you re-stock supplies in bathrooms and kitchens, empty bins, sweep and mop floors, engage in high-level dusting, support the kitchen team with washing-up and take care of the laundry.
• You are an advocate for safeguarding:You will ensure the well-being of every child and all adults within the nursery are met.
• You are collaborative: You thrive as part of a team and enjoy building supportive and respectful relationships with others.
