Northgate Vehicle Hire in Hoddesdon is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join our team. The role offers a strong base salary with bonus potential and overtime, in a field-based position covering the Hoddesdon area.

You will work from a company vehicle with a planned diary and access to a dedicated workshop for complex jobs, enjoying a good work-life balance with standard office hours and occasional Saturdays. Training and career development are supported.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 technician experience required.
• Broad mix of work including servicing, maintenance, recalls and warranty tasks.
• Strong commitment to customer service and safety on the road.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintenance of vehicles to high standards.
• Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Assist with recalls and warranty work as required.

More importantly, there’s a great work/life balance working mainly ‘office hours’ Monday to Friday (we ask for 1 morning in every 4 Saturdays!) and your working day starts the moment to get in your van, ending when you’re safely back home.

• Through our in-house IMI accredited training centre and manufacturer-approved training, we make a commitment to you to regularly refresh your knowledge and can broaden your technical skills to include a wide range of specialisms including Hybrid & EV vehicle repair, Tail lift, braking systems, electrics etc.
• Alternatively, for those trained to Level 2, we’ll help you complete a training needs analysis so we can build you an individual training program for you to increase your skill set.
