Job summary

H.R. Smith (Technical Developments) Limited in Hereford seeks a Production Test Engineer for our Rotherwas facility to ensure production test targets and quality standards are met.

You will work with the Production Manager, Test Supervisor and Senior Supervisor to deliver reliable test results. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex faults (PCB-focused), carrying out testing per schedules, providing training to staff, and liaising with Engineering to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

Work with Production Manager / Test Supervisor / Senior Supervisor to meet production test targets.
Identify Production Test failures, diagnose complex faults (including PCBs) and advise on rework or BER.
Ensure all Production Testing is carried out per current Production Test Schedules.
Participate in customer support tasks as required.
Provide training for new and existing Test Department staff.
Liaise with Engineering to resolve Test issues.
Comply fully with all anti-static requirements.
Ensure all production paperwork is completed to the required standard.
Be aware of company standards and raise Change Note requests as needed.
Maintain clean and tidy areas at all times.
From time to time, you may drive a Company vehicle on business.
Undertake any reasonable duty specified by Senior Management.

PRODUCTION TEST ENGINEER – ROTHERWAS, HEREFORD

Currently we are looking for a Production Test Engineer to join us at our Production Facility in Rotherwas to work closely with the Techtest Department Supervisor to ensure production targets and build standards are met.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To work in close association with the Production Manager / Test Supervisor / Senior Supervisor ensuring Production Test targets are met.
To identify Production Test failures, diagnose complex faults (including PCBs) and advise to achieve satisfac-tory rework or confirm B.E.R.
To ensure all Production Testing is carried out in accordance with current Production Test Schedules.
To participate in customer support tasks as and when required.
Provide training (where appropriate) for both new and existing Test Department staff.
Liaise with Engineering Department to resolve Test issues.
To comply fully with all anti-static requirements.
Ensure all production paperwork is completed to the required standard.
To be fully aware of company standards (Workshop Practices, Drawing office instructions etc.) and raise to Change Note requests as required.
Ensure all areas of responsibility are clean and tidy at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

From time to time, you may be required to drive a Company vehicle whilst on Company business.
