Job summary

Always Responsive Commercial Cleaning is seeking a reliable cleaning operative for a school site in Hereford. You’ll maintain clean, safe, hygienic environments by ensuring areas are cleaned to required standards. A fully enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

The position is term-time (38 weeks plus 5 deep-clean weeks). Working pattern is Monday to Friday, 16:00–19:00, 15 hours per week, on-site in Hereford.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors and communal areas.

Summary

Always Responsive Commercial Cleaning is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at a school site in Hereford.

You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for staff and pupils by ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned to the required standards.

A fully enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

16:00 – 19:00

15 hours per week

Working Pattern

This is a term-time position, working 38 weeks per year plus 5 additional deep cleaning weeks during school holiday periods.

Pay

£13.45 per hour.

This role is based on term-time working (38 weeks) plus 5 deep cleaning weeks. Pay is calculated based on these working weeks and paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas


• Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities


• Vacuuming, mopping and dusting surfaces


• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately


• Replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet roll


• Operating cleaning equipment and machinery where required


• Following cleaning schedules and instructions


• Ensuring cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly


• Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns
