The Together Trust invites applications for a Residential Social Care Worker (RSCW) to join our Adult Residential Care team. This 37.5-hour-per-week role operates on a 7-day rota with weekend work.

The starting salary is £26,230 per year, with biennial increments and enhanced pay for sleep-ins and weekend hours. You will support adults with physical, clinical, health and social needs, following care plans and hospital procedures, while promoting independence and safety.

We have an opportunity for a

Residential Social Care Worker (RSCW) to join our Adult Residential Care team in

37.5 hours per week (working 5 shifts each week over a 7-day rota, candidates must have the flexibility of working any day of the week – including weekends.)

Starting Salary - £26,230.00 (£13.45 ph) with biennial increments

Salary Enhancement - Sleep in payment of £107.60 per sleep. Enhanced pay of time and a quarter for weekend shifts hours worked.

• You will work as part of the Adult residential care team providing support for individuals with their physical, clinical, health, emotional and social needs with an emphasis on promoting independence.
• The core tasks of a

Residential Social Care Workerare to provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the residents.

Support includes ventilation, tracheostomy, gastrointestinal tract support and peg feeding.

• A major part of this role is the administration of medication, moving and handling and personal care.
• You will follow hospital care plans and processes therefore completing and updating of these forms in a concise manner is a requirement of the role.
• Due to the intensity of the service users, you must have a good understanding of English and be happy to complete all the paperwork and care plans to a good quality.
• The postholder will assist with the assessments of need and formulation of plans considering the wishes, feelings and Best Interests of the residents.
• You will undertake direct work that is designed to meet the needs of agreed care plans, enabling residents to reach their full potential.
• A number of administrative hours will be spent attending meetings, supervisions/appraisals, training and annual residents reviews.
• The RSCW will also undertake activities with the residents within the community.
• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the work undertaken with the residents, completing written reports for planning meetings and statutory reviews.
• A part of this role is to undertake a range of domestic duties, including cooking and some cleaning ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
