Job summary

The Best Connection Portsmouth is recruiting on behalf of our client in Havant for an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver. You will join a team to collect commercial and domestic waste across the Havant/Waterlooville area.

You will operate HGV Class 2 refuse vehicles, carry out daily checks, complete relevant paperwork, and deliver excellent customer service to clients. Training is provided; CPC and HGV2 licence are required. 37 hours per week with weekend overtime.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 Licence required.
• CPC required.
• Experience with refuse work preferred but not essential as training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 Refuse vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Collect waste from residential homes in domestic waste route.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records accurately (e.g. delivery notes).
• Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, and site personnel.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
• Keep vehicle clean and presentable.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Operate HGV Class 2 Refuse vehicles safely and efficiently
• Collect waste from residential homes in domestic waste route.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
• Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records accurately (e.g. delivery notes)
• Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, and site personnel
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
• Keep vehicle clean and presentable

Pay Rates:

£15.75 per hour

Overtime available on weekends and Bank Holidays

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday- weekends overtime is available

06:30 starts each day

37 hours per week

You will be required to have:

HGV Class 2 C Licence

CPC

Experience with previous refuse work if preferred but not essential as training is provided.
