The Salvation Army in Hadleigh seeks an organised Administrator to provide broad administrative and financial support to the Mission Team at Hadleigh Farm Estate. You will work closely with the Emerging Mission Officer and Pioneer Leaders to support Camps, FX and Corps activities, managing data, finances and events.
Key duties include filing, payments, invoicing, budgets, DBS checks and volunteers, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and efficient teamwork within a Christian ethos.
Working hours: 15 hours per weekInterview Date: To be confirmedWe are seeking an organised and proactive Administrator to provide a wide range of administrative and financial support to our Mission Team at Hadleigh Farm Estate (HFE), including Camps at HFE, Fresh Expressions (FX) and Corps activities. Working closely with the Emerging Mission Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth and effective delivery of our mission and community engagement work.

As Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality administrative support across a range of activities. Your duties will include: Maintaining accurate and secure electronic and paper filing systems. Supporting the Business Administration Team with financial administration, including accounts maintenance, processing payments, raising invoices, and assisting with budgets and annual accounts. Managing petty cash and financial records in line with organisational procedures. Coordinating hall bookings, licence agreements, payments, and client communications. Supporting the maintenance and servicing of IT equipment. Managing office supplies and stock levels, placing orders where required. Assisting with the organisation and administration of annual events, appeals, and community programmes. Managing incoming correspondence and responding to routine enquiries. Taking accurate minutes and maintaining records of meetings. Supporting DBS checks and volunteer administration processes. Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Emerging Mission Officer and Pioneer Leaders.
Significant experience in an administrative support role. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong numeracy skills and GCSE-level English and Maths (or equivalent). Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload. Ability to work independently and use initiative. Experience handling confidential information with discretion. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and members of the community. A conscientious, flexible and results-focused approach. Ability to work within The Salvation Army's Christian ethos and values of integrity, accountability, compassion, passion, boldness and respect.
