Job summary

Co-op Group in Wales is seeking a Customer Team Leader to manage a small team in a busy store and deliver essential services to the community. You’ll lead shifts, keep shelves stocked, and help run daily operations with a hands-on approach.

As a key member of the store, you’ll coach colleagues, support merchandising, and promote Co-op membership while enjoying benefits such as paid training, a 30% store discount, pension contributions, and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Minimum criteria as provided: ability to lead by example, passion for people, and experience in retail or team management (not essential).
• Strong leadership and communication skills are important for coaching and motivating the team.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.

Pay: £14.48 per hour

Contract: 20 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts, middle shifts, and closing shifts. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We're happy to discuss your availability further at interview.

Join us as a Customer Team Leader and take the next step toward managing your own store.

As a Customer Team Leader, you'll lead a small team in a fast-paced Co-op store, helping to deliver essential services to your community. Depending on your store this could involve you working in our post office or bakery or supporting online services and our home delivery drivers. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
