Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD in Manchester is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a senior kitchen team at one of Manchester's leading restaurant groups. You will support the Head Chef in day-to-day running, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and service. This hands-on role offers training, mentoring juniors, stock control, ordering, food safety compliance, and opportunities to develop leadership further within a fast-paced fresh-food environment.

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the senior kitchen team at one of Manchester's leading restaurant groups. The Role

As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. You will play a key leadership role, helping to manage and develop the kitchen team, oversee service, and maintain excellent operational standards.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will assist with training and mentoring junior chefs, stock control, ordering, and maintaining food safety compliance. This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced, fresh-food environment, offering the opportunity to further develop your leadership skills and progress your career.

About You

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a quality-led restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
• Passionate about fresh food, seasonal produce, and delivering exceptional standards
• Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume kitchen
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
