Job summary

Certitude is seeking a Bank Support Worker to cover shifts in Braintree, Chelmsford, Epping Forest, Colchester and Thurrock. The role focuses on enabling people to manage daily life, including money, appointments, and participation in their communities.

You will support people with independence, respect, and choice, and you will be required to have IT skills for documentation and report writing. DBS checks apply and full references are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting a family member, friend, elderly person, or someone with a learning disability or mental ill health who required practical and/or emotional assistance.
• Ability to use information technology (including a computer) to complete documentation and compile written reports to a good standard.
• Ability to build great relationships with others and help others make contacts and friendships.
• Able to motivate others and help them try new things and engage with the community.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
• Be receptive and commit to relevant training.

Become a Bank Support Worker supporting in Braintree, Chelmsford, Epping Forest, Colchester and Thurrock!

Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour

About the role

The role of a Bank Support Worker is to enable the people we support to manage aspects of their daily life. Support will include money management, attending appointments and facilitating meetings in order to maximise the individual's independence and enable them to be part of their communities.

Duties will include:

• Build great relationships with the people we support and the people important in their lives.
• Support people to spend their time and money in ways that give them pleasure and meaning with people they want to have time with, in ways that enable them to contribute and feel valued, be a part of communities that matter to them and help them grow and develop.
• Ensure people are supported in everyday tasks in a respectful way that meets their individual needs and preferences and enables them to do as much as possible themselves and gives them as much choice, control and involvement as possible.
• Balance creating opportunities for people to try new things and make choices for themselves with the need to ensure people are safe and risks are well managed.

About you

To be a Bank Support Worker at Certitude, the following are essential:
