Job summary

Amey is seeking an Approved Electrician to join our Electrical Team at NRS Harwell in Oxfordshire. This permanent, full-time role offers 37 hours per week with a 9-day fortnight and on-site working at Didcot.

You’ll perform planned and reactive maintenance, testing and inspections to strict health and safety standards within a highly regulated environment. Experience with emergency light testing, PAT and RCD testing, and electrical installations is valued.

Qualifications

• Maintenance of electrical systems across client buildings.
• Perform emergency light testing, PAT testing and RCD testing.
• Adhere to Health and Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Duties would be planned and reactive maintenance of various buildings in our client’s portfolio, including inspection and testing, emergency light testing, PAT testing, RCD testing, installation of new equipment or replacement/repair of lamps/sockets.
• Carry out duties in line with current Health and Safety legislation.
• Assist with Minor building fabric repairs
• Carry out ad hoc general minor repairs as required
• Contractor escort duties

Amey is recruiting an Approved Electrician to join Amey’s Electrical Team at our NRS Harwell Branch in Oxfordshire. This is a long‑term, secure role offering consistent hours, a 9‑day fortnight and the opportunity to work on a team in a high‑security, safety‑critical environment.

Working at NRS Harwell, you’ll play an important part in maintaining safe and compliant nuclear facilities. The environment is controlled, professional and highly regulated, making attention to detail, safety and standards essential.

Key responsibilities
