Job summary

Avery Healthcare is hiring a Senior Care Assistant for Carrstone House Care Home in Downham Market. You will join a warm, dedicated team delivering high standards of personal care in a safe, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

As part of a close-knit team, you will monitor wellbeing, participate in person-centred care planning, assist with medication needs, and supervise junior staff. DBS check is required and employment is subject to eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
• Engage in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Serve as a point of contact for residents, relatives and health professionals.

About the Role

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilitieswillinclude: Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

About You
