Job summary

Home Care Worker / Domiciliary Care Assistant – Crawley

Heart Bridge Care Services is recruiting caring, reliable and compassionate Home Care Workers to support adults living in their own homes across Crawley and surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for people who already have care experience as well as individuals who are looking to build a long-term career in health and social care.

You will support service users to remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes. Duties will vary depending on each person’s individual care and support plan.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting service users with washing, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene
• Providing continence support where required
• Supporting with mobility and safe movement around the home
• Assisting with meal preparation, food and fluids
• Prompting or assisting with medication in accordance with the care plan and company procedures
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting service users with daily living activities
• Supporting individuals to access their local community where this forms part of their care plan
• Observing and reporting changes in a service user’s health, wellbeing or behaviour
• Completing accurate daily care records
• Following safeguarding, infection prevention, health and safety and confidentiality procedures
• Reporting concerns promptly to the office or management team
• Working professionally with service users, relatives, colleagues and other professionals

Care workers must follow each service user’s care plan and risk assessments and must not carry out tasks they have not been trained or authorised to perform.
