Job summary

Coppersmith Recruitment and Services are recruiting for a Cleaning & Waste Operative based in Crawley, working 8am-4pm on a temporary contract. Duties include cleaning canteens, warehouse areas, machinery and washrooms, hoovering, waste disposal and basic sanitisation. Training is provided and safety boots are required.

There is a view to permanent placement after the probation period. Must be able to commute to site; car parking is available.

• Experience is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Own composite safety boots required.
• Dress code: casual non-uniform.
• Knowledge of having a clean criminal background.

Responsibilities

Coppersmith Recruitment are currently recruiting for many cleaning and waste operatives based in a large warehouse in Crawley.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure long term work with one of the UK's largest retail companies. In your new role as a Cleaning & Waste Operative, you will be working within a warehouse environment with our cleaning team. Your duties will include cleaning canteens, warehouse, machinery, and washrooms, hoovering and sweeping the warehouse/office areas, managing waste disposal and basic sanitisation. You will use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals (we will provide full training for you), and ensuring that all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies.

Successful candidates will be working for the UK's leading facilities management companies with a view to become a permanent member of staff after completing the 3 months' probation period.

Requirements

Must be able to plan and commute to the site. Ample car parking is available.
