Job summary

The Cambian Group is seeking a Deputy Manager to assist the Registered Manager in a care setting for children and young people. The role includes supervising staff, direct work with young people, and safeguarding responsibilities in line with regulatory standards.

You will deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager and work to support outcomes for young people through collaboration with professionals. A positive developmental path and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is required.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare) (or working towards) is preferred.
• Current driving license is required.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in the care sector is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager to achieve the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose.
• Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
• Support and manage staff to meet the needs of the children and young people.
• Undertake direct work with Children and young people as appropriate.
• Be the responsible person for managing child protection concerns and complaints.
• Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
• Offer supervision and support to senior staff in line with Care Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
