Job summary

UDirect Support currently seeks a Personal Care Assistant to support a gentleman with a high-level spinal cord injury in his family home in Embleton, Cockermouth. The role covers daily living assistance, meal preparation, personal care, and light housekeeping on a 17-hour-per-week rolling rota.

Responsibilities include helping with eating and drinking, moving and handling including hoisting, and facilitating gentle physio exercises as prescribed.

Personal Care Assistant (Adult) Embleton, Cockermouth ILC-C-141

Support a gentleman with a high level Spinal Cord Injury to live independently within the family home. 17hrs p/week available on a 3-week rolling rota.

Personal Care Assistant required for a gentleman with a high level Spinal Cord Injury.

The purpose of this role is to assist with all daily living tasks within the family home, where he lives independently with his partner and two young children.

The role will include, but is not limited to:

Personal care

Preparation of food and drinks

Assistance with eating and drinking

Some household cleaning tasks

Moving and handling including hoisting and regular basic physio exercises.
