Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join a leading temperature-controlled logistics operator based in Portbury, Bristol. This is a trunking role with regular night shifts and minimal physical work, ideal for professional drivers who value straightforward routes.

Pay Rates: Mon-Fri £18.00, Saturday £19.00, Sunday/Bank Holiday £20.00, with holiday pay included up to £22.41 per hour.

Qualifications

HGV Class 1 Night Driver - Trunking | Up to £22.41ph

Earn up to £22.41 per hour | Regular Night Shifts | Modern Fleet | Portbury, Bristol

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a

HGV Class 1 Night Driver on behalf of our well-established client based in

Portbury, Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced

Class 1 Driver looking for ongoing work with a highly respected operation offering consistent shifts, excellent working conditions and a professional transport team.

Our client is a leading provider within the temperature-controlled logistics industry, specialising in the storage and distribution of chilled and frozen products across the UK.

With a clean, modern fleet and a strong reputation for driver welfare, this is a contract where many drivers choose to stay long-term, with numerous opportunities having led to permanent employment.

Pay Rates

Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour

• Including holiday pay:

£20.17 per hour

Saturday: £19.00 per hour

• Including holiday pay:

£21.29 per hour

Sunday / Bank Holiday: £20.00 per hour

• Including holiday pay:

£22.41 per hour

Please note: Holiday pay is accrued separately and paid in line with Pure Staff holiday procedures. Rolled-up holiday pay is

not available on this vacancy.

The Role

As a

HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will be completing refrigerated trunking runs between RDCs and logistics hubs. This is primarily a trunking role with minimal physical work involved, making it ideal for professional drivers who enjoy straightforward, organised routes.

Typical duties include:

• Refrigerated trunking between RDCs
• Safe operation of Class 1 vehicles
• Completing POD and transport documentation accurately
• Carrying out vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Maintaining professional standards whilst on customer sites
• Following all driver hours, WTD and road transport legislation

Shift Pattern

• Sunday to Thursday nights

17:00 and 20:00

• Typical shift length of

8-12 hours

• Optional overtime shifts available
• Ongoing, regular work available

Requirements

To be considered for this

Class 1 Driver role, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C+E Licence
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience preferred
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• Reliable and professional attitude
