Pure Staff Ltd are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our client in Evesham. You will be delivering supermarket orders to retail stores across the UK, performing vehicle safety checks and handling manual loads with tail lifts and pump trucks.

The role offers regular day shifts, 09:00–11:00 start times, and ongoing work with potential permanent opportunities. PAYE rates start at £17.50 per hour weekdays, rising to £21.85 with rolled-up holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Category C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours regulations.

Responsibilities

HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our customer based in

Pay Rates

PAYE

• Monday to Friday:

£17.50 per hour

• Saturday:

£19.50 per hour

• Sunday/Bank Holiday:

£19.50 per hour

PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay

• Monday to Friday:

£19.61 per hour

• Saturday:

£21.85 per hour

• Sunday/Bank Holiday:

£21.85 per hour

Drivers have the flexibility to choose between accruing holiday pay separately or having holiday pay included within their hourly rate through rolled-up holiday pay.

The Role

As an

HGV Class 1 Day Driver, you will be completing supermarket deliveries to retail stores across the UK. This is a varied role combining driving duties with physical work and customer-facing responsibilities.

Duties include:

• Completing supermarket and retail store deliveries.
• Conducting vehicle and trailer safety inspections before each shift.
• Safely transporting goods while ensuring compliance with all transport regulations.
• Unloading roll cages using tail lifts and pump trucks.
• Handballing stock where required.
• Completing delivery paperwork and POD documentation accurately.
• Following planned delivery routes and strict delivery schedules.
• Maintaining excellent communication with transport teams.
• Adhering to Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and health and safety regulations.

Shift Pattern

09:00 and 11:00

• Thursday to Monday shifts available
• Average shift length of

10-12 hours

• Ongoing work with additional shifts often available

Requirements

To be considered for this

HGV Class 1 Day Driver position, you must have:

• UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
• Good understanding of Driver Hours regulations
• Ability to carry out self-tipping and manual handling duties
• Professional and reliable approach to work
