Job summary

De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden is seeking a Conference & Events Supervisor to lead our renowned events team. You will oversee conferences, banqueting and bars, ensuring flawless execution from setup to service.

You will inspire and manage a diverse team, maintain exceptional guest experience, and coordinate with other departments to deliver memorable occasions. This full-time role operates 7am to late, with weekend rota work.

Join our team at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden as a Conference & Events Supervisor and be part of our exceptional conference and banqueting events team, where every detail matters and unforgettable events are created.

As the Conference & Events Supervisor, you will help to ensure the smooth operation of our busy conferences and events department, from meticulously set event spaces to impeccable service. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that every aspect, from setup to service, is executed flawlessly. Leading by example, you will foster a culture of warmth and appreciation, building genuine relationships with team members and empowering them to take pride in their work.

This is a full-time role with shifts operating between 7am and late evening, with finish times varying depending on events. Weekend work is included on a rota basis.

Your Skills & Experience:

• You have previous experience working as part of an events operation team, including conferences, banqueting and bars.
• You are passionate about events and prepared to put your heart and soul in to delivering memorable experiences for our guests
• You have exceptional attention to detail to ensure every event runs smoothly
• Your communication skills help you build strong working relationships and motivate a diverse team
• You have excellent organisational and time management abilities, effectively prioritising tasks to meet operational requirements.
