Job summary

Story Contracting Limited is seeking an Estimator to join the Pre-Construction Team in our London office, supporting tender submissions and helping grow our regional pipeline. You will build client and supplier relationships, estimate costs, and contribute to value engineering across Rail, Highways, Water or Energy projects.

We value problem solving, attention to detail, and clear communication in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Has a civil engineering, construction or commercial background working on projects in the Rail, Highways, Water, or Energy Sectors.
• Has proficient skills in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Has excellent attention to detail & a methodical approach to work.
• You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in client‑facing environments.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join our Team based in our London office and supporting the South & Central Team.

The Role

As an Estimator you will be working in the Pre-Construction Team, playing a vital role in supporting the tender process, helping to create competitive bids and maximise our pipeline. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, building relationships and contributing to the region’s success.
