Job summary

Purple DPSS is seeking a dedicated, part-time Personal Assistant/Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for N, a 10-year-old with Autism and PDA who is pre-verbal. You will help him access the community safely, promoting wellbeing, confidence and independence, and accompany him on activities while respecting his routines.

Location Cambourne, CB23 area. DBS check, right to work and references required. 72 hours at £13 per hour, with a flexible pattern including weekends and school holidays.

• Provide one-to-one support for N, enabling him to access the community safely while promoting his wellbeing, confidence and independence.
• Support will include accompanying N on bus rides, swimming, visits to the city centre, trips to the park, Greggs and other activities of his choice, following his interests and preferences.

Avoidance (PDA). He is pre-verbal and communicates using a few

plans to reduce his anxiety around changes.

Hours and rate of

pay hours

72 hours @ £13 ph available to be used flexibly, including weekends and school

holidays.

The working pattern will be agreed with family.

DBS/Checks Confirmation of an Enhanced DBS check.

Right to Work and references will be needed.
