Job summary

• Support residents with eating and drinking where required.
• Maintain residents' comfort, dignity, and privacy at all times.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing and report any concerns to senior staff or nurses.
• Assist with medication administration where authorised and trained.
• Record and maintain accurate care notes and documentation.
• Support residents in following individual care plans.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and visitors.
• Encourage social interaction and participation in activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Promote independence and respect residents' choices and preferences.
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and report concerns immediately.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality is maintained in accordance with data protection requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and supervision meetings.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, nurses, healthcare professionals, and families.
• Support new staff members and contribute to a positive working environment.
