Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact for residents throughout planned works.
  • Keep residents informed about upcoming works, timescales, access requirements and potential disruption.
  • Carry out resident visits and maintain regular communication throughout projects.
  • Arrange access to properties for contractors and site teams.
  • Respond to resident enquiries, concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and project stakeholders.
  • Identify and support vulnerable residents.
  • Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Escalate issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident contact, visits, access arrangements and outstanding issues.
  • Attend site, resident and project meetings as required.
  • Support smooth delivery of works by keeping residents informed and engaged.

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Site-based across East London, with office attendance in Brentwood for meetings as required

We are looking for a

Resident Liaison Officer to support planned works across

East London. The role involves working directly with residents throughout works programmes, keeping them informed, arranging access, responding to concerns and working closely with site and project teams.

The ideal candidate will have

previous experience in resident liaison, housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment or construction. Candidates from other customer-facing backgrounds may also be considered where they can demonstrate strong communication skills, confidence dealing with residents and the ability to manage issues independently.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

Covering planned works across East London.

Brentwood office attendance is required for meetings, rather than on a daily basis.

The role involves regular travel across the East London area.

Strong resident engagement and communication skills are important.

Experience in Resident Liaison, housing, planned works, refurbishment or construction is highly desirable.

Candidates from other customer-facing backgrounds may be considered where they have the right transferable skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a key point of contact for residents throughout planned works.

Keep residents informed about upcoming works, timescales, access requirements and potential disruption.

Carry out resident visits and maintain regular communication throughout projects.

Arrange access to properties for contractors and site teams.

Respond to resident enquiries, concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.

Build positive relationships with residents and project stakeholders.

Identify and appropriately support vulnerable residents.

Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve issues.

Escalate issues where necessary and follow them through to resolution.

Maintain accurate records of resident contact, visits, access arrangements and outstanding issues.

Attend site, resident and project meetings as required.

Support the smooth delivery of works by ensuring residents remain informed and engaged.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Experience working in a customer-facing role involving regular communication with members of the public, customers or residents.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Confident dealing with enquiries, concerns and potentially difficult situations.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Ability to build positive relationships with residents, contractors and colleagues.

Willingness to travel across East London as required.

DESIRABLE

Experience within social housing, housing associations or local authority environments.

Experience working on planned maintenance, refurbishment, repairs, retrofit or construction projects.

Experience supporting vulnerable residents.

Knowledge of construction or property maintenance processes.

Full UK driving licence.
