First Aider, Pastoral and Pupil Wellbeing Support Assistant (Fixed Term)

Salary: Based on £26,641, pro-rata is £20,544.31 per annum

Required from December 2026The School is looking to recruit a qualified First Aider who will also work as a Pastoral and Pupil Wellbeing Support Assistant to aid Boys’ Junior School staff in promoting the health, welfare, progress and good conduct of children in the Boys’ Junior School on a fixed term basis until approximately November 2027 to cover a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will be involved in student support, encouraging positive attitudes, promoting good behaviour, pastoral administration and updating records on the school management system. The appointed person will be the main point of contact for the provision of first aid, ensuring the best possible medical care for injuries, acute illness and long-term health care needs.The successful candidate will have some level of first aid qualification, together with excellent communication skills / organisational skills and observational skills. The ability to understand and be aware of problems children may experience and strategies used to deal with these is desirable. Some level of Healthcare Qualification would be an advantage, but not essential.With some 2,500 pupils, Bolton School is a large, thriving, academically selective day school.
