Job summary

Bolton School is recruiting a qualified First Aider who will also work as a Pastoral and Pupil Wellbeing Support Assistant to support Boys’ Junior School staff in promoting the health, welfare, progress and good conduct of pupils. This fixed-term role runs until approximately November 2027 to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will provide first aid, pastoral administration and maintain records in the school management system, with strong communication and observational skills.

Qualifications

• Some level of first aid qualification.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Observational skills to understand pupil issues.
• Healthcare qualification advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Boys’ Junior School staff in promoting health, welfare, progress and good conduct of pupils.
• Encourage positive attitudes and promote good behaviour.
• Assist pastoral administration and update records on the school management system.
• Be the main point of contact for the provision of first aid and medical care.
