Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking an experienced Telehandler to operate on our construction site and support the daily material movements. You will load, unload, transport, and secure loads, while performing routine equipment checks under the supervision of the site manager.

Candidates should hold a CPCS or NPORS/CSCS card, demonstrate a strong health and safety mindset, and be comfortable working as a point of contact in a standalone role when required.

Qualifications

• Experience on a Telehandler on construction sites.
• CPCS or NPORS/CSCS card required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team.
• On-site health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines

The company:

A well established regional contractor who specialises in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure.

The role:

As the Telehandler on site, you will be responsible for the following:

• Obtain copies of production schedule daily and transport materials to and from designated areas on site.


• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks


• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates.


• Checking loads are secure.


• Stacking empty pallets


• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.


• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines

About you:

Ideally you will have previous working experience in a Telehandler position

You will be conscious of health and safety on site and will be weary of others who are working alongside of you.

You will arrive on time, finish your shift at the times allocated by the site manager and complete additional duties as and when the site manager requires.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience in a Telehandler


• You will have a CPCS or NPORS/CSCS


• Strong work ethic in a team


• Be approachable and happy to work as a point of contact when working in a standalone position.
